Primrose
Valley 2002
The
week started with an informal get together on Saturday night where a lot of
old friends and some new
ones met for a drink and a chat. It
is always so nice to see many friendly faces with the same interest.
Sunday dawned
and
Mother Nature had not been very kind to us, as it was raining and by the
attendance of the pilot's morning's briefing it looked like some had stayed in
bed. MAA Chairman, Max Bradley,
welcomed everybody, PRO, Caroline Scoles, explained what was in store for the
week's events
and each CFI gave a
briefing on their discipline. The
first part of the week the weather was unsettled, but flying still took place.
By mid-week the weather had settled down and come Friday everyone had
done some great flying. Alan Head
from SAS models spent a few days with us, as did Steve Watkin from Protech
models.
The
evening's entertainment started on Sunday evening with a Quiz and indoor flying
which seems to be getting more and more popular every year.
Monday saw
Traplet Publications take the stage, Tuesday the instructors
held
a forum, Wednesday there was a Treasure Hunt and another chance to do some
indoor flying, Thursday the Protech Team gave us an insight into their range of
products and Friday we had the trad
itional raffle and Max presented the Trophies.
Everyone
said their goodbyes with promises to see them either at Devon, or next year.
